Everpool Recruitment, one of the UK’s leading Health and Social Care recruiters, is hiring Functional Assessors across the UK for hybrid roles (home and office based).

No nights. No weekends. No bank holidays. No long shifts.

Salary

  • PIP Assessor (3 assessments per day): £40,850 + bonus. £1,000 salary increase after 6 and 12 months.
  • WCA Assessor (5–6 shorter assessments per day): £43,750 + bonus. £1,000 salary increase after 6 months.
  • Up to 10% quality and performance bonus

Candidates should ideally be open to PIP or WCA depending on local availability.

Hours

  • Full-time (WCA/PIP) Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
  • Part-time (WCA Only) 0.6 FTE (3 days) 0.8 FTE (4 days) PT must work Friday and can choose the remaining days to work.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct structured assessments (telephone and face-to-face)
  • Review medical evidence and daily living impact
  • Produce detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
  • Make objective recommendations based on evidence

This is an assessment-focused role — no prescribing, no treatment plans, no shift pressures.

Training

12-week paid training covering:

  • Assessment techniques
  • DWP guidelines
  • Report writing

You will be fully supported before working independently.

  • Registered Adult Nurses (NMC)
  • Occupational Therapists (HCPC)
  • Physiotherapists (HCPC)
  • Paramedics (HCPC) (PIP Only)
  • Pharmacists (GPhC) (PIP Only)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year post-registration experience in an adult setting
  • At least 1-year active registration
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Confident IT and typing skills
