Functional Assessor (Nurse / Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist / Paramedic / Pharmacist)
£40,000 starting salary (dependent on location and experience)
Eastbourne | Hybrid Working
Permanent | Full-Time | Monday to Friday | No weekends | No nights
Applicants must live within a 90-minute commute of Eastbourne and be able to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical knowledge to assess how health conditions affect a person's daily living, producing clear, evidence-based reports that support fair and informed decision-making.
No previous assessor experience is required – full training is provided.

What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting telephone, video and face-to-face assessments
- Reviewing medical evidence
- Assessing how health conditions impact daily living and functional ability
- Producing accurate, evidence-based reports
- Using your clinical judgement in a structured environment
- Delivering a professional and compassionate assessment experience
This is an analytical, report-focused role, ideal for clinicians who enjoy critical thinking, communication and evidence-based decision-making.
What We're Looking For
- Current NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration
- A minimum of 12 months' post-registration clinical experience
- Adult clinical experience
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Good IT skills
- Eligibility to work in the UK
