Monday to Friday 9 am - 5 pm. No weekends. Full-Time (PIP and WCA) and Part-Time (PIP Only) Salary has increased!

Functional Assessor (PIP / WCA) Nurses, OTs, Physios, Paramedics, Pharmacists

Hybrid role – home and office based

Competitive salary plus bonus:

  • PIP Assessor: £39,500 + bonus. £1,000 salary increase after 6 and 12 months.
  • WCA Assessor: £42,000 + bonus. £1,000 salary increase after 6 months.
  • Up to 10% quality and performance bonus.

Hours:

  • Full-time (WCA/PIP): Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm
  • Part-time (PIP Only): 0.6 FTE (3 days), 0.8 FTE (4 days) Can work any day of the week.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct structured assessments (telephone and face-to-face)
  • Review medical evidence and daily living impact
  • Produce detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
  • Make objective recommendations based on evidence

This is an assessment-focused role — no prescribing, no treatment plans, no shift pressures.

Training:

12-week paid training covering assessment techniques, DWP guidelines, report writing, and support until you work independently.

  • Registered Adult Nurses (NMC)
  • Occupational Therapists (HCPC)
  • Physiotherapists (HCPC)
  • Paramedics (HCPC)
  • Pharmacists (GPhC)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year post-registration experience in an adult setting
  • At least 1-year active registration
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Confident IT and typing skills
