Job Description

Costs Draftsperson / Costs Lawyer – Court of Protection

Full Time, Permanent

Up to £60,000 DOE + Bonuses

North of England

Hybrid or Remote Working

Our client is a well-respected Costs Firm who pride themselves on client care and development of their team.

We are looking for experienced Claimant Costs Draftspersons’ / Costs Lawyers who preferably specialise in Court of Protection.

Job Details and Benefits:

  • Full time, permanent
  • Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (flexible working available)
  • Hybrid or remote working with fortnightly meetings to one of their modern offices in the North of England.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Drafting bills of costs (using CostsMaster drafting software) in both traditional and electronic (Precedent S) format
  • Preparing Costs Budgets in form Precedent H in accordance with Departmental requirements/workstreams
  • Managing your own caseload dealing with complex matters.
  • Client care and business development

What we need from you:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in costs – inhouse or external costs.
  • Experience in bill drafting, budgeting and negotiations.
  • Knowledge of Costsmaster
  • Desire to grow and develop.
  • Happy to discuss consultancy arrangements for the right candidate.
