We are currently recruiting for hybrid remote Disability Assessors who would like a role that involves working from home and in the office with no weekends, bank holidays, or long shifts. Join an organisation dedicated to exceptional service and positive change.
Role Summary:
The Disability Assessor conducts Work Capability Assessments (WCA) on people with long-term health issues. The role requires producing comprehensive, evidence-based reports for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). The assessor is not responsible for benefit entitlement decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments of claimants.
- Perform thorough evaluations to determine how a claimant's disability or health condition affects their ability to undertake work-related tasks.
- Assess individuals with a range of physical, mental health, cognitive, and sensory impairments.
- Produce impartial, accurate, and high-quality written reports using a designated IT system.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and assessment criteria.
- Adhere to all professional standards, including Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Data Protection, and Risk Management.
Essential Criteria:
- Registered healthcare professional - Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist (NMC/HCPC registration required).
- Minimum of one years' relevant post-registration clinical experience.
- Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload efficiently.
- Experience working with complex health conditions
