Urgent Hiring! Disability Assessor - Cambridge

Monday to Friday 9 am - 5 pm. No weekends!

Full-Time (PIP and WCA) and Part-Time (WCA Only)

No nights. No weekends. No bank holidays. No long shifts.

Salary
  • PIP Assessor (3 assessments per day): £39,500 + bonus. £1,000 salary increase after 6 and 12 months.
  • WCA Assessor (5–6 shorter assessments per day): £42,000 + bonus. £1,000 salary increase after 6 months.
  • Up to 10% quality and performance bonus
Hours
  • Full-time (WCA/PIP) Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
  • Part-time (WCA Only) 0.6 FTE (3 days) or 0.8 FTE (4 days). PT must work Friday and can choose the remaining days to work.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct structured assessments (telephone and face-to-face)
  • Review medical evidence and daily living impact
  • Produce detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
  • Make objective recommendations based on evidence

This is an assessment-focused role — no prescribing, no treatment plans, no shift pressures.

Training

12-week paid training covering:

  • Assessment techniques
  • DWP guidelines
  • Report writing

You will be fully supported before working independently.

  • Registered Adult Nurses (NMC)
  • Occupational Therapists (HCPC)
  • Physiotherapists (HCPC)
  • Paramedics (HCPC) (PIP Only)
  • Pharmacists (GPhC) (PIP Only)
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-year post-registration experience in an adult setting
  • At least 1-year active registration
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Confident IT and typing skills
