Your clinical experience could be exactly what we're looking for. We're actively recruiting experienced clinicians in Bournemouth for upcoming PIP Functional Assessor training courses.
As a PIP Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical knowledge to understand how an individual's physical or mental health condition affects their daily living and independence. You'll assess. You'll listen. You'll investigate. You'll apply your clinical judgement. Then you'll bring everything together into a clear, evidence-based report. No treatment. No prescribing. No manual handling. No nights. No weekends. No bank holidays.
What will you actually be doing?
- Assess individuals with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
- Explore how those conditions affect everyday activities and daily living
- Listen to the individual's experience and gather a detailed clinical history
- Review medical evidence and supporting information
- Apply your clinical judgement, reasoning and assessment skills
- Report your findings through detailed, evidence-based clinical reports
The Package:
- £40,000–£42,000 starting salary

Your experience already gives you a head start. We're looking for:
RGN | RMN | RNLD | Physiotherapist | Occupational Therapist | Paramedic | Pharmacist
You'll need:
- Active NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration with no restrictions
- 12+ months' post-registration UK adult clinical experience
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Experience producing detailed clinical reports and evidence-based documentation
- Confident IT skills and ability to work across digital systems
Never worked in PIP assessment before? You don't need to have.
Your existing clinical experience is what matters.
You’ll receive comprehensive, fully paid training designed to help you transfer your clinical knowledge into functional assessment, followed by ongoing mentoring, clinical support and development.
