Functional Assessor – Hybrid/Homeworking | Excellent Work-Life Balance

Location: Aylesbury

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Monday–Friday | 9:00am–5:00pm | No Evenings or Weekends

Salary: £40,000–£42,000 + Bonus (pro rata for part-time)

The Role

As a Functional Assessor, you will:

  • Conduct structured assessments via telephone, video, and face-to-face consultations
  • Assess the impact of physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions on daily living
  • Review medical evidence and clinical history
  • Produce clear, evidence-based reports to support benefit decisions

This is an adult-focused, non-treatment role where strong clinical judgement, communication, and report-writing skills are key.

Fully Paid Training

  • 6–12 weeks depending on experience
  • Structured full-time training programme
  • Ongoing mentoring and clinical support
  • Notice periods fully accommodated

Who We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months post-registration experience
  • At least 1 year of recent UK clinical experience
  • Active NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Confident IT skills
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
