Job Description

Area Manager ( 6 month Contract) – Immediate Start

Leading Charity Retailer South East London & Kent

£40000 – pro rata plus yearly car premium payment ( 35 hour week )

Our client, a leading charity who are seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee and support multiple stores .

We’re recruiting an experienced Area Manager on a contract basis for an immediate start, overseeing a portfolio of stores across South East London and Kent.

You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of your area, delivering a clear strategy that ensures stores operate profitably, standards remain high, teams are supported, and the charity’s profile and donations continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the key link between stores and Head Office, ensuring clear two-way communication
  • Deliver sales targets and KPIs across the area
  • Lead, motivate and manage a varied retail team across multiple sites
  • Ensure full compliance across all stores
  • Develop and support the retail management team through guidance and regular branch visits
  • Drive local marketing activity to raise the charity’s profile
  • Increase donations across the area
  • Support recruitment and engagement of volunteers
  • Ensure strong operational standards, performance, training and team development

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven Area Manager or multi-site experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and people management skills
  • Confident decision-maker with excellent problem-solving ability
  • Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation skills
  • Analytical approach with the ability to interpret data and drive performance
  • Self-starter with high drive, able to perform under pressure with a positive mindset
