Job Description
Area Manager ( 6 month Contract) – Immediate Start
Leading Charity Retailer South East London & Kent
£40000 – pro rata plus yearly car premium payment ( 35 hour week )
Our client, a leading charity who are seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee and support multiple stores .
We’re recruiting an experienced Area Manager on a contract basis for an immediate start, overseeing a portfolio of stores across South East London and Kent.
You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of your area, delivering a clear strategy that ensures stores operate profitably, standards remain high, teams are supported, and the charity’s profile and donations continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the key link between stores and Head Office, ensuring clear two-way communication
- Deliver sales targets and KPIs across the area
- Lead, motivate and manage a varied retail team across multiple sites
- Ensure full compliance across all stores
- Develop and support the retail management team through guidance and regular branch visits
- Drive local marketing activity to raise the charity’s profile
- Increase donations across the area
- Support recruitment and engagement of volunteers
- Ensure strong operational standards, performance, training and team development
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven Area Manager or multi-site experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal and people management skills
- Confident decision-maker with excellent problem-solving ability
- Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation skills
- Analytical approach with the ability to interpret data and drive performance
- Self-starter with high drive, able to perform under pressure with a positive mindset
