Functional Assessor

Full-time | Monday–Friday | 9am–5pm
Part time available - 3/4 days
Location: Guildford
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 - (+ 1k at 6/12 months - performance based)
What you need:
- At least 1 year of recent post-registration experience in a relevant adult setting
- At least 1 year of active NMC, HCPC or GPHC registration
- Strong communication and assessment skills
- Excellent report-writing and typing skills
- Good IT skills
- The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
PIP assessments - 3 a day
WCA assesseents -5/6 a day
What will you be doing? As a Functional Assessor, you will:
- Conduct telephone and face-to-face assessments with claimants
- Explore how health conditions affect everyday activities and work
- Review medical evidence and health questionnaires
- Ask detailed questions about functional ability
- Use your critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills
- Produce clear, accurate and objective reports for the DWP
- Make recommendations based on your assessment findings

You don't need previous Functional Assessor experience — your clinical experience and transferable assessment skills are what matter.
