Contract Type: Zero Hour Contract - flexible working, pick the jobs you want. PAYE Only - No self-employment offered.
Requirements:
- Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle. If not, you will need to strongly prove how you will travel to/from jobs.
- Willingness to travel nationwide – some jobs may be local, others further afield. (Especially at festivals and multi-day events, you may need to camp or sleep in your car; if local, daily travel is possible.)
- Reliable, professional, and able to work long hours.
Job Overview: As an Event Steward at Evermore Events, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of event attendees, staff, and performers. Your role will involve managing access control, handling crowd management, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Duties:
- Ensuring only authorised individuals access restricted areas.
- Checking tickets, passes, and identification to maintain a secure environment.
- Monitoring crowd behaviour to prevent any disturbances.
- Enforcing venue rules and policies to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all attendees.
- Assisting with emergency procedures and evacuations if necessary.
- Collaborating with security personnel and event staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Providing assistance and guidance to attendees in a professional and friendly manner.
- Reporting any incidents, accidents, or suspicious activities to senior staff or event organisers.
Skills:
- Previous experience in stewarding, ideally within event or entertainment settings.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
- A professional and approachable demeanour, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand or patrol for extended periods.
