As the Assistant Facilities and Maintenance Operative, you will work across our four mental health services and two care homes, ensuring all buildings and grounds are safe, well‑maintained, and compliant with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out day‑to‑day maintenance of communal areas, residential rooms, and grounds
- Conducting operational Health & Safety and Fire Regulation checks
- Managing external contractors when needed
- Maintaining equipment such as heating, plumbing, security systems, laundry machines, and water systems
Qualifications
- Extensive maintenance experience, including minor electrical and plumbing work
- Experience with central heating systems
- Multi‑skilled maintenance and facilities management experience, specifically plumbing or electrics
- Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle for work purposes
- Flexible, can‑do attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
