We are looking for a Lead Engineer Generators for emergency standby power applications, especially Datacenters, at Everllence, former MAN Energy Solutions. Reporting to the Head of Auxiliary Systems, you will be responsible for the coordination of all technical tasks for Genset and enclosed package during tendering and order execution.
You will have the following responsibilities:
- Responsibility for enclosed package layout e.g. considering space constraints, noise requirements and thermal management.
- Reviewing and understanding customer project specifications and supporting sales team in discussing requirements and deviations with customers.
- Definition of work packages for application engineering in specific customer projects.
- Definition of specifications for mechanical, electrical, and thermal requirements of the Gensets and their supporting systems.
- Interface coordination between the Genset and auxiliary systems (e.g. cooling and ventilation) and the overall system architecture.
- Collaboration with internal departments (e.g. sales, procurement, quality) and external suppliers.
- Execution of design reviews and ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Support during commissioning and validation of prototypes.
You can help us with these qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in the design and integration of package solutions consisting of gensets and necessary auxiliary equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of data center power generation and backup systems, as well as relevant standards and regulations.
- Strong communication skills, team player and ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage technical interfaces across disciplines.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; German language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel for supplier or customer visits and testing.
