Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the company’s financial reporting and controlling systems, ensuring the effective running of the finance department and that all management reporting requirements are catered for. To ensure internal controls, financial systems and reporting processes operate correctly to facilitate internal and external requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maximise the company’s EBIT and cash flow potential.
- Ensure the accuracy and relevance of the Company’s balance sheet.
- Provide sound financial leadership and advice and highlight profit improvement opportunities while providing early warning of potential challenges.
- Manage risks with appropriate mitigation plans and provisions.
- Ensure internal and external financial reporting is relevant, accurate and on time.
- Manage all financial planning and forecasting processes, delivering outputs on time that are challenging but realistic.
- Manage the Company’s cost control review process to maintain and grow profitability.
- Ensure internal control systems such as ICS and CCM operate effectively and align with Group procedures.
- Manage and maintain financial relationships with third parties, Group Reporting and other Everllence entities / BU Controllers.
- Ensure the cost base is accurate and appropriate for tendering and decision making.
- Ensure the Company’s tax affairs are in order (VAT, Corporation Tax, PE requirements) and that returns/payments are accurate and on time.
- Be a trustee of the DB pension scheme(s).
- Comply with the Company Code of Conduct and adhere to relevant Company processes and procedures.
- Be aware of and adhere to all Health & Safety laws and guidelines relevant to the role and the safety of colleagues, visitors and external partners.
- Other ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Senior finance role in a self-accounting UK entity.
- Experience of a large corporate multinational.
- Experience of manufacturing & engineering and/or aftersales business.
- Fully versed in latest IFRS requirements.
- Detailed understanding of the business on both financial and commercial levels.
- Good social conduct.
- SAP experience.
- Recognised professional Accountancy Qualification.
- Fluent in English.
