A growing engineering business is looking for a hands-on Logistics Operative to support equipment deliveries, customer handovers, collections, yard operations and workshop preparation. This is a varied role suited to someone practical, reliable and customer-focused who enjoys working with equipment and taking pride in keeping things organised, safe and running smoothly.

Duties:

  • Deliver and collect equipment from customer sites.
  • Set up equipment and complete basic customer handovers.
  • Record returned equipment condition and report any damage.
  • Clean and prepare equipment before dispatch.
  • Move assets between the yard, workshop and storage areas.
  • Support loading and unloading safely.
  • Liaise with third-party transport drivers.
  • Keep the yard clean, tidy and well organised.
  • Support waste control, facilities tasks and general engineering support.
  • Follow RAMS, method statements and site procedures.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with no disqualifications.
  • Experience in logistics, delivery, yard work, warehouse, plant hire, stores, engineering support or a similar hands-on role.
  • Practical, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.

Desirable:

  • Forklift licence.
  • CSCS card.
  • IPAF or working at height qualification.
  • Experience with mechanical/electrical equipment.
  • Plant hire, tool hire, engineering or equipment handling experience.
