Quality Engineer

We’re currently recruiting a Quality Engineer to join a thriving pressings business based in Manchester. Part of a successful and growing group of companies, this business prides itself on its ambitious, supportive culture and strong customer relationships.

The company offers 25days + BH, Pension and a Bonus.

About the Role:

As Quality Engineer, you’ll play a key role in driving improvements across the shop floor and enhancing our quality culture. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with a skilled team of operators who are already trained in inspection techniques and the use of verniers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

Your focus will be on:

• Reducing defect rates
• Improving customer resolution processes
• Supporting and embedding a proactive quality-first mindset across the business

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a hands-on individual from a strong engineering background – ideally someone who has come up through the ranks, perhaps from a machine operating or apprentice route. You’ll understand how things work on the shop floor and be confident engaging with operators to make practical, lasting improvements.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing/engineering setting
• Background in pressings or similar processes highly desirable
• Comfortable using and training others in inspection tools (verniers, micrometers, etc.)
• Proactive mindset with a collaborative approach
