A growing engineering business is looking for a Technical Product Development Manager to lead product development across a range of specialist industrial equipment. This is a hands-on, influential role suited to someone who can turn customer needs and technical knowledge into scalable, well-documented and commercially viable products. You will manage the product development pipeline, lead projects from concept through to launch, improve existing products, support testing and validation, maintain technical documentation, and work closely with sales, operations, procurement, suppliers and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product development projects from concept to launch.
  • Translate customer, operational, regulatory and commercial requirements into product briefs and specifications.
  • Support design, prototyping, testing, validation and launch readiness.
  • Apply structured problem-solving and risk management methods such as FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA or design reviews.
  • Maintain technical product documentation including specifications, BOMs, datasheets, manuals, test data and compliance records.
  • Drive product standardisation, modularisation and rationalisation.
  • Work cross-functionally with technical, commercial, operational and supply chain teams.
  • Manage and develop a small product development team.
