We're recruiting a Health & Safety Officer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Cumbria.

This is a hands-on, site-based role with real scope to make an impact joining a team that takes its safety culture seriously and wants someone to help drive it forward.

If you're NEBOSH-qualified, confident working in a manufacturing environment, and ready to take ownership of a broad H&S remit, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing Developing, implementing, and reviewing health and safety policies and procedures across the site Conducting risk assessments and method statements for operational activities Carrying out regular site inspections and audits, identifying hazards and driving corrective actions Investigating incidents, near misses, and accidents and producing clear reports with recommendations Delivering health and safety inductions and training for new starters and existing employees Maintaining accurate H&S records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation Liaising with external bodies including the HSE where required Supporting management in embedding a positive safety culture across all departments What We're Looking For NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent advantageous)Proven experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong working knowledge of current UK health and safety legislation Confident communicator, able to engage effectively at all levels from the shop floor to senior management Organised and thorough, with the ability to manage multiple priorities IOSH membership desirable but not essential Apply now to join a growing manufacturing business!
