The Role – CNC Turner (Setter/Operator)
We are looking for a CNC Turning Setter/Operator to join a fast-paced, precision-driven machining section. You’ll be responsible for s etting and operating CNC Lathes, ensuring the production of high-quality aerospace components to exact tolerances. This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner looking to work with modern equipment, develop their expertise, and contribute to a growing, forward-thinking business.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC Lathes, ensuring accurate and efficient production
- Work with multi-spindle, mill/turn machines to manufacture precision components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to maintain tight tolerances
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and CNC programmers to meet production targets
- Perform quality checks using hand measuring tools to ensure part accuracy
- Maintain accurate d ocumentation of machining processes, tooling, and setup
- Adhere to health & safety standards and ensure safe machine operation
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives (LEAN, 6S) to optimize processes
About You
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator), ideally with multi-spindle mill/turn machining
- Strong ability to r ead and interpret engineering drawings
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments to check components
- Fanuc controls experience preferred (training available)
- A team player with the ability to work independently when required
- Passionate about working in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment
