Our client is a rapidly growing precision engineering business thats recently invested heavily in brand-new CNC milling machines. Theyre part of a large, privately owned engineering group with an outstanding track record of success and stability
and theyre now looking for a skilled CNC Setter who can take on more of a lead role on the shop floor.

The Role as a CNC setter
Working primarily on CNC milling machines, you will :
- Set and operate a range of CNC milling machines
- Carry out tool changes, offsets and prove out programs
- Support getting new jobs up and running efficiently
- Help maintain high standards of quality and first-time pass rates
- Play a key part in improving set-up times and throughput
- Act as a go-to person for less experienced setters / operators on shift
Shifts are on a rotating 6am2pm / 2pm10pm basis Mon-Thu and 6am – 12pm / 12pm – 6pm on Fridays.
About You
This role will suit an ambitious, driven and hands‑on CNC Setter who :
- Has significant experience setting CNC milling machines (multi-machine experience a bonus)
- Is confident with tool changes, setting, and basic troubleshooting
- Takes pride in producing quality parts and hitting targets
- Enjoys sharing knowledge and naturally takes the lead when needed
- Wants to grow with a business that is investing in its people and machinery
