Summary of the Pharmacy Manager Role:
The pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Manager to run day-to-day professional and operational aspects of a community pharmacy, ensuring safe medicine supply, strong team leadership, and full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Medicines & Safety: Oversee safe and effective supply of medicines, prescription dispensing, stock control, and controlled-drug management.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support the pharmacy team, implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and drive staff development.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with regulations, maintain clinical governance and patient safety standards, and continuously improve services.
- Patient & Professional Liaison: Provide professional advice to patients and work closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals.
- NHS Services: Deliver NHS pharmacy services in line with current requirements.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to register as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), or be actively working towards GPhC registration where applicable.
- Must have the professional knowledge and skills needed to perform pharmacist and pharmacy manager duties.
