An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding construction business. Working from our Dartford office, you will oversee the commercial aspects of construction projects from tender stage through to final account. The role is predominantly office based, with occasional site visits and client meetings as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets and tender documentation.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and undertake procurement activities.
- Manage project costs and monitor financial performance.
- Prepare valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Review and administer contracts.
- Identify and manage commercial risks.
- Produce accurate commercial reports and forecasts.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and project teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of standard forms of contract.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management are desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to your own vehicle is essential.
