We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to drive continuous improvement, enhance safety, and boost equipment reliability and operational efficiency at our Howden site. This is a pivotal leadership role with the opportunity to drive change and make a real impact on our business goals.
What you’ll do
- Safety First: Ensure all plant, equipment, and activities comply with EH&S legislation and company procedures. Manage Permit to Work systems, contractor control, and engineering safety audits.
- Compliance: Oversee statutory inspections, waste management, and ensure all equipment and processes remain compliant.
- Lead & Develop: Build a high-performing technical team, develop skills, and reduce reliance on contractors. Support career growth and innovative projects.
- Budget Ownership: Manage departmental budgets, reduce maintenance costs, and drive waste minimization.
- Capital Projects: Develop and implement capital projects, maintain a rolling 5-year plan, and manage contractors and expenditure.
