We are looking for Engineers to join our team at Hatfield (of both mechanical and electrical bias). The Engineers are responsible for carrying out maintenance activities across Production facilities ensuring production equipment/machinery are maintained and serviced to deliver production requirements that meet the goals and objectives of the business. They also ensure both planned and emergency maintenance activities are run effectively with any operational challenges raised in a timely manner to maximise operational efficiencies.
This role is working Monday to Friday 38.5 hours per week, on a rotational shift basis.
A snapshot of what you'll do:
- Working with others: Guide and advise Skilled Operators and Line Leaders with queries in relation to the safe operation of plant and electrical equipment as appropriate i.e. regular checks, rectifying faults as required.
- Maintenance: Ensure maximum plant availability through effective response, fault finding diagnosis and repair of a wide range of plant equipment Conveyor, Elevators, Form Fill and Seals and Palletisers. Maintain electrical plant, equipment and control systems (including PLC and SCADA) in accordance with the maintenance schedule. Carry out installations of new plant equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, inclusive of calibrations, pneumatics, hydraulic’s, PLC’s, fabrication. Safe use of all engineering tools and equipment as required to ensure all operations run safe and efficiently including safe handling and installation of parts with and safe processes followed at all times.
- Quality Standards and Working Instructions: Ensure compliance with Company/external procedures recording accurate inspections identifying and quarantining non-conforming products.
- Integrated Management System (IMS): Comply with the requirements of the Integrated Management System and act appropriately with regard to day to day management of QSHE issues. Assist in achieving QSHE objectives and targets.
About you:
- Multi-skilled with a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or industry recognised qualification.
- Practical application in the maintenance and repair of Electrical/Mechanical and control systems, including modifications and installations (incl. pneumatic systems).
- Experience in working in FMCG/similar high volume manufacturing environment.
- Excellent analytical and fault-finding skills.
