Fostering Done Differently! Evergreen Foster Care is a highly specialised service that focuses on placing children and young people from children's homes into intensively supported, foster care families. The aim is to provide homes for children and young people who would not be able to access standard foster care, but could, if adequately supported, make the transition to a family environment.
As children and young people coming out of residential care usually have a range of challenges, only one foster child can be placed with a family at any one time. We understand how difficult it is to foster so we place a great emphasis on valuing our carers and offering them the tools to become therapeutic parents and part of a professional community. We offer up to 62 nights respite per year, generous financial allowances, fortnightly carer days, 1 to 1 therapy sessions, a mobile app to make their recording easy, a bespoke training package, and a 24/7 telephone support service.
Supervising Social Workers, Family Support Workers & Therapists have small caseloads to allow time for stability and trust. We are a small and nurturing agency who is committed to finding well matched and planned homes for children and young people. Transition and matching is a key strength of Evergreen Foster Care, and time is taken to get to know the children and young people before they move in.
