About the Role: We are looking for a Graduate or Junior Software Engineer to join the Everfox UK development team. Applicants should either have received a degree in the last two years or have held a Junior Software Developer position for a maximum of 1-2 years. As a Junior or Graduate Software Engineer, you will be part of a highly skilled team writing complex cybersecurity solutions software. You will be expected to demonstrate enthusiasm and an ability to learn rapidly whilst also making a valuable contribution to the team. You will be able to apply your existing experience to the problems at hand and will demonstrate an ability to work independently. Although the core requirement is for software development using a C-like programming language, the role requires you to be flexible and implement solutions across the full stack.
Location: Malvern, UK - Hybrid (2 days a week in office)
Key Responsibilities:
- Write high quality code following our agile-based development methodology and our chosen toolset.
- Test software both formally and ad-hoc.
- Produce documentation using industry-standard tools.
- Work within a closely-knit team.
Key Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience of programming.
- Domain knowledge of, or an interest in, application security.
- Our desired languages are Go and C++, however Python, Java and C# are acceptable.
- Must have a basic understanding of Linux.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Task focused and the ability to work independently.
- The ability to work collaboratively across functions within the business and to be adaptable and flexible.
- Good communications skills, both written and verbal.
Education Requirements & Qualifications: Computing, scientific, or mathematical degree or have held a junior position as a software developer for maximum 1-2 years. Suitability for holding UK security clearance is essential.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is: £32,600.00-53,600.00 GBP. The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidate's unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to base salary and either bonus or commission, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including competitive annual leave, pension match, PMI, dental, health cash plan, income protection, in a hybrid work environment.
