Product Engineering Intern
Location: Waterloo London, England - Hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office)
Key Responsibilities
- Support engineers in developing and validating new product features, enhancements, and prototypes
- Contribute to technical documentation, including design notes, requirements, test cases, and user flows
- Participate in daily standups, code reviews, and team syncs
- Execute functional and regression testing activities; document and validate defects
- Assist with performance analysis, log review, and troubleshooting during development cycles
- Help maintain scripts, automation tools, and CI/CD pipeline tasks
- Collaborate with cross functional partners on release readiness and technical enablement
- Prepare demo materials, engineering updates, or prototype walkthroughs as needed
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity Engineering, or a related technical field
- Foundational programming skills (Python, C++, C#, Rust, Go, or similar)
- Understanding of core engineering concepts (APIs, version control, debugging, agile methodology)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and document technical work
- Interest in secure software development, or embedded systems
- Right to work in the UK
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with GitLab or GitHub, Jira, Confluence, or CI/CD tooling
- Coursework or projects related to cybersecurity, automation, or embedded systems
- Ability to interpret system logs, identify issues, or analyse performance data
- Previous internship or hands on project work in engineering or technology
