About the role

Everfox is looking for a Electronics Lab Lead to lead activities around our small on-site Test & Development Lab in London. As a Lab Lead, you will support our continually growing business with both an increase in the variety and volume of products, working in close collaboration with both the Hardware and Production teams to assemble and test our products. Location: This is an on-site role in London, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly & Testing: Lead product assembly, cable fabrication, and execution of test processes under the guidance of production engineers.
  • Lab Ownership & Safety: Take full responsibility for keeping the lab space safe, organized, compliant, and well-stocked with essential tools and consumables.
  • Equipment & Inventory Management: Oversee the lab’s electronic test kit and the goods receipt process, ensuring incoming stock is accurately booked in and stored.
  • Process Optimization: Drive the continual improvement of production documentation by rigorously following processes and providing critical technical feedback.

Key Knowledge and Skills:

  • Test Kit Management: Experience using and managing electronic test equipment as part of a production environment (e.g., DMM, Oscilloscope).
  • Electro-Mechanical Skills: Proficiency with mechanical hand tools for completing assemblies, custom cabling, and fine-pitched SMD soldering/rework.
  • OS & Scripting: Comfortable using both Linux and Windows Operating Systems to run automated or manual test scripts.
  • Operational Autonomy: Comfortable working independently to maintain lab standards, with a strong desire to transition into managing a small team.
  • Precision: Meticulous attention to detail in following technical procedures and maintaining accurate record-keeping.
  • Highly collaborative team member, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You are self-motivated, adaptable, enjoy prospecting challenges and delivering results.
  • You are calm under pressure and maintain a diplomatic manner even when being challenged.

Key Education Requirements:

  • Industry Standards: Knowledge of IPC rework standards (e.g., IPC-A-610 or IPC-7711/7721) highly desired.
  • CAD Knowledge: Basic use of CAD software to view schematics or mechanical layouts highly desired.

Candidates must be eligible for a UK SC clearance.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is: £39,600.00-54,000.00 GBP. The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
