Location: London, UK (5 days in office per week)

Overview of the role:

Everfox is looking for an Electronics Lab Technician Manager to lead activities around our small on-site Test & Development Lab in London. As a Lab Manager, you will support our continually growing business with both an increase in the variety and volume of products, working in close collaboration with both the Hardware and Production teams to assemble and test our products.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assembly & Testing: Lead product assembly, cable fabrication, and execution of test processes under the guidance of production engineers.
  • Lab Ownership & Safety: Take full responsibility for keeping the lab space safe, organised, compliant, and well-stocked with essential tools and consumables.
  • Equipment & Inventory Management: Oversee the lab’s electronic test kit and the goods receipt process, ensuring incoming stock is accurately booked in and stored.
  • Process Optimization: Drive the continual improvement of production documentation by rigorously following processes and providing critical technical feedback.

Skills and experience:

You’ll be perfect for the role if you have experience of the following:

  • Test Kit Management: Experience using and managing electronic test equipment as part of a production environment (e.g., DMM, Oscilloscope).
  • Electro-Mechanical Skills: Proficiency with mechanical hand tools for completing assemblies, custom cabling, and fine-pitched SMD soldering/rework.
  • OS & Scripting: Comfortable using both Linux and Windows Operating Systems to run automated or manual test scripts.
  • Operational Autonomy: Comfortable working independently to maintain lab standards, with a strong desire to transition into managing a small team.
  • Precision: Meticulous attention to detail in following technical procedures and maintaining accurate record-keeping.

It would be super useful (but not essential) if you have:

  • Industry Standards: Knowledge of IPC rework standards (e.g., IPC-A-610 or IPC-7711/7721).
  • CAD Knowledge: Basic use of CAD software to view schematics or mechanical layouts.

Eligible for a UK SC clearance.

We are delighted to have team members who show the following qualities:

  • Highly collaborative as a team member, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, enjoy prospecting challenges and delivering results.
  • Calm under pressure and maintain a diplomatic manner even when being challenged.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is: £31,500.00-42,700.00 GBP. The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidate's unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
