We are seeking a skilled electronics engineer for our hardware development team. As an electronics engineer at Everfox, you will be designing and testing sophisticated electronic circuit boards and other key hardware components for our cyber‑security products.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the hardware team, part of the Hardware-based Security (HardSec) product group
  • Requirements gathering and research to select appropriate components
  • PCB design and layout using Altium Designer
  • Management of PCB, mechanical and system-level design data using product life-cycle management tools
  • Use lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters to test new hardware and debug issues
  • Coordinate with product design engineers to package electronics within a chassis
  • Evaluate product performance under different thermal and vibrational conditions
  • Aid in compliance and certification of new hardware
  • Work with production engineers to ensure a smooth transition to high volume manufacturing
  • Hybrid working with minimum 2 days a week in the London office in Waterloo

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in electronic engineering (or a similar technical subject)
  • Experience in digital electronic systems design, including component selection, schematic entry and layout of PCBs
  • Understanding of board design principles with devices such as switch‑mode power supplies, FPGAs and embedded processors
  • Understanding of multi‑layer PCB layout techniques (e.g. microvias and length matching)
  • Experience in PCB debug and test
  • Experience in integration of hardware with software and firmware

Preferred Qualifications

  • Software programming experience (e.g. C/Python)
  • FPGA programming experience (e.g. VHDL)

Salary £43,700.00-51,100.00 GBP
