- Strengthen and maintain financial controls across core accounting processes.
- Ensure all reporting complies with UK GAAP and internal policies.
- Support the external audit process by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and responding to queries.
- Identify process improvements and contribute to system and reporting enhancements, particularly within Sage Intacct.
- Provide operational teams with clear, accurate financial information and resolve queries promptly.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA with 3+ years’ experience. We may consider someone nearly qualified with a very strong background.
- Proven experience in management accounting, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and financial reporting skills, with confident Excel capability.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Highly organised, structured, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Experience in a control-focused or private equity-backed business.

- Exposure to fast-growing businesses, service operations, or recurring revenue models.
What We’re Looking For

- A calm, reliable operator who performs under tight month-end deadlines.
- A right-hand person to the Finance Manager who can provide insight, support, and challenge when needed.
- A proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
