Location - Stockton-on-Tees / Remote

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team. Reporting to the Sales Director, the Sales Manager will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, growing and managing a team of sales professionals, and collaborating closely with the Sales Director to develop and execute sales strategies. As the sales department grows, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sales department and contributing to the achievement of sales targets.

Role Description

  • Sitting 3 SQLs (Sales Qualified Leads) per week.
  • Generating 3 sales per month.
  • Working closely with the Business Development Representative (BDR) to maximize SQL generation.
  • Collaborating with the Sales Director (SD) for the conversion of SQLs into bookings.
  • Reporting key Metrics and KPIs to the Sales Director.

Team Management

As the team grows you will need to:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide ongoing training and development to sales team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Set clear sales objectives, monitor progress, and take corrective actions as needed.

Sales Strategy and Planning

  • Collaborate with the Sales Director to develop and execute effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a sales forecast to ensure alignment with organisational goals.

Sales Performance Analysis

  • Track and analyse sales metrics, KPIs, and pipeline data to make informed decisions.
  • Prepare regular sales reports for management review, working with the SD.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Sales Process Improvement

  • Continuously assess and optimise the sales process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and sales tools to support the sales team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and sales management tools.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
