A leading professional services firm is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile transactions, complex accounting challenges, and capital market projects, providing expert advice to fast-growing and dynamic businesses. You’ll collaborate with ambitious clients across multiple sectors—supporting them through IPOs, debt and equity raises, M&A, and financial reporting transformations—while working alongside a highly skilled and entrepreneurial team.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Manager within the Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory team, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering strategic financial and technical accounting solutions to clients navigating complex regulatory environments and market transactions. You’ll work closely with business leaders and stakeholders on engagements ranging from capital markets transactions to IFRS/US GAAP advisory, providing insights that drive transparency, efficiency, and value. This position offers exceptional visibility and the chance to lead client relationships, mentor junior professionals, and shape best practices across the advisory business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engagements related to capital markets transactions, including IPOs, debt offerings, and M&A financial reporting.
- Advise clients on technical accounting matters under IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP.
- Deliver high-quality advisory services to clients undertaking debt and equity capital raising strategies.
- Oversee teams delivering complex financial reporting and assurance services, ensuring technical accuracy and commercial insight.
- Provide strategic input to clients on financial structuring, disclosure requirements, and transaction readiness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members, supporting their technical growth and professional progression.
- Contribute to business development activities and thought leadership initiatives within the advisory practice.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ICAS/CPA) or equivalent.
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience in capital markets, technical accounting, or transaction advisory.
- Excellent working knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP.
- Demonstrated experience advising on capital raising, IPO preparation, or complex accounting matters.
- Proven ability to manage and lead project teams effectively.
- Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance technical precision and client objectives.
- Experience managing and developing staff, including mentoring, appraisals, and recruitment.
- Collaborative leader with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
