Join the secondaries business of a leading global alternative investment manager, investing across private equity, real assets, infrastructure and credit. The platform combines the resources, proprietary data and GP relationships of a large multi-strategy franchise with the focus of a dedicated secondaries team, deploying capital across both GP-led and LP-led transactions at scale. The firm is recognised for its disciplined underwriting, long-standing sponsor relationships and consistent performance through market cycles.
Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Associate to join the London Secondaries team, taking a leading role on GP‑led and LP portfolio transactions across Europe. This is a senior seat with genuine ownership: you will run deal processes end to end, from origination and underwriting through structuring and execution, while mentoring junior members of the team. You will work directly with senior investment professionals and gain broad exposure across fund strategies, geographies and asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead secondaries transaction processes end to end, including origination, financial modelling, due diligence, structuring and execution.
- Own portfolio company and fund‑level analysis, assessing quality, valuation and risk across complex, multi‑asset portfolios.
- Draft and present investment memos, valuation models and materials for the investment committee, taking a lead voice in the recommendation.
- Build and maintain relationships with GPs, LPs, advisors and intermediaries to drive proprietary and intermediated deal flow.
- Mentor and review the work of Associates and Analysts, and contribute to market mapping and strategic initiatives across the platform.
What We're Looking For
- 4 to 6 years of experience in secondaries, private equity, fund of funds, investment banking or transaction advisory, with direct secondaries exposure strongly preferred.
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills, with proven ability to underwrite complex fund structures and multi‑asset portfolios.
- Demonstrated deal execution experience, ideally with exposure to GP‑led continuation vehicles and LP portfolio transactions.
- Intellectual curiosity, commercial judgement and the ability to operate with autonomy in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the credibility to represent the firm to GPs, LPs and advisors.
- Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
Why Join
- Join an established secondaries platform with significant dedicated capital and a long track record across GP‑led and LP‑led transactions.
- Benefit from the deal flow, sponsor relationships and proprietary insight of a global multi‑strategy alternatives franchise.
- Take real ownership of transactions and a visible seat in front of the investment committee at Senior Associate level.
- Clear path to promotion within a growing team, with structured development and senior mentorship.
- Competitive compensation including carried interest participation.
