Private Equity Investment Analyst

Overview

Investment Team Analyst – Private Equity (London) at a London-based private equity firm, focused on the European lower mid-market. This role is for a motivated professional with strong analytical and organisational skills to gain exposure across deal flow management, market research, and investment execution support.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent modelling, communication, and organisational capabilities. They will support the investment team across deal sourcing, tracking, research, and analysis, and will contribute to meetings with fund managers and preparing follow-up reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the firm’s deal flow database and pipelines.
• Prepare statistical updates and benchmarking analyses for weekly meetings and quarterly reporting.
• Support investment projects and regional/fund research initiatives.
• Attend meetings with fund managers and produce detailed reports.
• Analyse track records and terms & conditions of reviewed opportunities.
• Produce market matrices and assist with ongoing portfolio research.

Candidate Profile

• Organised, analytical, and enthusiastic team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Excellent academic background with ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
• Highly numerate with outstanding attention to detail.
• Strong communication and writing skills; comfortable engaging with clients and external stakeholders.
