A leading financial services platform is seeking a Vice President to join its FIG Debt Origination team in London. The team originates and executes debt financing solutions for banks, insurers, asset managers, specialty finance and fintech clients, partnering closely with coverage and syndicate to deliver financing and capital outcomes across market cycles. This is an opportunity to step into a front-office origination seat combining client coverage, idea generation, structuring and execution, in a lean, high-standards environment.
Overview
The Opportunity
We are looking for a commercially minded FIG banker who can drive origination activity and run execution workstreams across FIG funding and capital solutions, operating credibly with Treasurer/CFO-level stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and execute FIG debt transactions, from pitch through pricing and closing
- Lead proactive client coverage and idea generation (funding strategy, capital planning, market timing)
- Own execution workstreams: structuring, term sheets, documentation coordination, approvals, timeline management
- Partner with syndicate/sales on positioning, investor messaging and execution strategy
- Produce high-quality pitch materials and internal committee papers; communicate recommendations clearly
- Track FIG market conditions and translate into actionable client ideas and issuance opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Typically 5–10 years in FIG DCM / FIG coverage / capital solutions / LCM (banking side)
- Demonstrable origination mindset (client-facing, pitching, mandate winning/contribution) plus strong execution track record
- Familiarity with FIG funding/capital instruments (e.g., senior unsecured, secured funding/covered formats where relevant, and FIG regulatory capital such as AT1/T2 where applicable)
- Strong structuring judgment, attention to detail, and comfort running multiple stakeholders under tight timelines
- Clear communicator with a professional coverage presence
