Join the private capital advisory team of a global investment bank with one of the longest-established secondary advisory franchises in the market.
The group advises general partners and limited partners on fund-level liquidity, continuation vehicles and portfolio sales across Europe and North America, combining the independence and client focus of a specialist advisory house with the balance sheet and distribution reach of a global banking platform.
The London team sits at the centre of European sponsor and LP coverage.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an Associate to join the London Secondaries Advisory team, working across LP-led portfolio sales and GP-led continuation vehicles for European sponsors and institutional investors.
This is a build-out hire on a growing desk, working directly with Managing Directors on live mandates from origination through to close.
You will own the pricing and portfolio analysis on live processes while engaging directly with GPs, LPs and the secondary buyer universe.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and own portfolio pricing models on LP-led transactions, including bottom-up fund cash flow forecasting, NAV analysis, roll-up modelling across large fund portfolios, and waterfall and carry mechanics.
- Model single-asset and multi-asset continuation vehicles, including LBO and returns analysis, fund-level leverage options, and transaction perimeter selection.
- Lead preparation of marketing materials, including teasers, information memoranda, investor presentations and data rooms, turning complex fund and portfolio data into a clear investment case.
- Run secondary buyer and LP outreach end to end, managing diligence workstreams, Q&A, election processes and third-party advisors through to closing.
- Support origination through sponsor coverage and screening of GP-led opportunities, and contribute to pitch materials and pricing indications on live situations.
What We're Looking For
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
We are prioritising candidates from secondary advisory, buyside secondaries, fund investing or co-investment who have taken transactions through to completion.
- Direct exposure to LP portfolio sales, GP-led continuation vehicles, strip sales, tender offers or preferred equity and NAV solutions.
- Strong fund-level modelling capability.
Roll-up and portfolio pricing experience is the single most valuable technical skill for this seat.
Company-level LBO modelling is assumed.
- Familiarity with fund structures, LPAs, distribution waterfalls and private markets performance metrics.
- Credibility to hold a conversation with a GP or an institutional LP without a Managing Director in the room, and the ability to run several live workstreams to transaction deadlines.
- A second European language is an advantage given the breadth of European coverage.
- Degree educated in Finance, Economics or a related discipline. London based.
Why Join?
- Join the secondary market at the point of highest growth, with GP-led volume and fund-level liquidity solutions continuing to expand as sponsors look beyond traditional exits.
- A specialist advisory franchise with a long track record in LP portfolio sales, now backed by the distribution reach and balance sheet of a global bank.
- A genuinely growing desk. Recent hiring at analyst level, with this seat added alongside it, rather than a backfill.
- Broad exposure across LP-led portfolios, single and multi-asset continuation vehicles, strip sales, tender offers and structured solutions.
- Direct Managing Director exposure from day one, with the level shaped around the right person rather than fixed to a title.
