We are supporting a leading European private debt platform in the build-out of its DACH private credit coverage team. This is a strong opportunity for a German‑speaking professional with leveraged finance or private credit experience to step into a portfolio‑facing, relationship‑driven role within a well‑capitalised and established franchise.

The firm is a long‑standing lower mid‑market private debt investor with €3bn+ AUM and a pan‑European footprint. The strategy focuses primarily on senior secured and unitranche financings, with flexibility across the capital structure. The platform is known for its disciplined credit culture, fast execution, and collaborative, people‑focused environment.

You will join a newly formed Private Credit Management function, responsible for the active management and development of an existing DACH portfolio. The role sits at the intersection of portfolio management, client coverage, and incremental origination, working closely with origination, credit, fund, and sector teams across Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively manage and monitor a portfolio of DACH private credit investments, including covenant compliance, performance analysis, reviews, amendments, waivers, and early risk identification.
  • Lead add‑on financings, upsizes, and follow‑on capital for existing borrowers in close coordination with origination teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with C‑suite executives, maintaining an ongoing strategic dialogue around capital structure, growth, and financing needs.
  • Partner with internal teams across private equity coverage, M&A, and broader financing solutions to deliver integrated outcomes for clients.
  • Operate within a robust credit and risk framework, escalating issues appropriately and contributing to portfolio‑level risk oversight.
  • Work collaboratively within dynamic teams, contributing to a high‑performance and development‑oriented culture.
Candidate Profile
  • 5–6 years’ experience in leveraged finance, private credit, or related roles (investment banking, direct lending, credit funds).
  • Strong exposure to lower / mid‑market debt transactions and portfolio management.
  • Experience with credit documentation, amendments, and restructurings.
  • Excellent financial analysis, structuring, and execution skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence engaging senior management and sponsors.
  • Fluent German and English (mandatory).

This role suits candidates who enjoy being close to the portfolio and clients, while still playing an active role in growth, origination support, and platform development.
