Everest is building a dynamic Energy and Construction team to provide market‑leading insurance services to the Oil and Gas, Power and Renewables Energy industries as they navigate through the energy transition. We are hiring a Power Underwriter in London.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and underwrite a diverse portfolio of Power risks, ensuring alignment with our underwriting guidelines and appetite.
- Leverage broker relationships and build new ones to access business through both our Company and Syndicate platforms.
- Play a key role in strategic planning, pricing, and product development, collaborating with Energy & Construction colleagues and other departments across Everest.
- Represent Everest at client and broker meetings, industry events, and site visits, while supporting junior team members and fostering a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.
Skills & Abilities
- Experience in conventional Power insurance.
- Understanding of Wholesale London Market business.
- Ability to thrive in complex, matrixed environments, collaborating effectively across functions and levels.
- A track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation skills and strategic insight into global market trends.
- Sound judgment and decision‑making skills.
