Team Overview: The Reinsurance Claims department of Everest Group, Ltd. is looking for a highly motivated Reinsurance Claims Adjuster to join our fantastic London team as we continue to expand. The appointment will reinforce our commitment to providing clients and distribution partners with best-in-class claims solutions. Key Accountabilities:
- Adjusting reinsurance claims from a diverse multi-class portfolio, providing precise responses to the market, ensuring accurate reserving, and developing commercial awareness.
- Attending meetings and presentations on high value and complex losses alongside experienced claims adjusters.
- Participating in client visits and audits, developing investigatory skills, and building relationships within the London Insurance Market.
- Collaborating with Underwriting and other business units to understand how Claims interacts with other internal stakeholders.
- Contributing to ad hoc claims projects and assisting and creating management information reporting and data visualisation.
- Supporting the Underwriting team in market studies and client visits.
- Participating in due diligence as part of a cross-functional transaction team.
- Contributing to the development of the claims function.
Professional Experience:
- Experience gained in either Reinsurance or Insurance claims adjusting in the London market.
- Understanding of general insurance principles.
- Capable of working independently as part of a broader integrated claims team.
- Strong numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Engagement in continuous personal and professional development activities including but not limited to undertaking relevant exams (ACII).
- Adept in the use of Microsoft products, Excel in particular.
