The Opportunity
Whether you're currently underwriting Marine Treaty, broking within Marine reinsurance, or working across Marine insurance and considering a move into reinsurance, this is an opportunity to step into a role with real scope, visibility and impact. At Everest, you'll join a lean, high-performing, globally connected team, where your ideas are valued, your expertise is trusted, and your contribution directly shapes portfolio growth and strategy.
Working closely with our Zurich-based Marine team, you will play a central role in managing an established portfolio while identifying and developing new opportunities across Europe and the wider international market. You'll be working across a diverse and technically interesting portfolio including:
- Cargo, Hull and Liability
- Energy (Upstream, Downstream, Renewables)
- Both proportional and excess of loss business
This role offers end-to-end exposure — from client engagement and deal origination through to pricing, portfolio oversight and strategic input.
What You'll Be Doing
- Underwriting and growing a profitable Marine & Energy treaty portfolio
- Helping define and execute market and underwriting strategies
- Building and maintaining strong broker and client relationships across international markets
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Partnering with actuarial and analytics teams to ensure robust pricing approaches
- Supporting portfolio monitoring, accumulation management and exposure oversight
- Representing Everest in the market at client meetings, broker engagements and industry events
- Collaborating across a global network, including teams in Zurich, London, New Jersey and beyond
