About the Role: This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role within a growing Compliance Function as a Compliance Manager, where you will provide expert oversight and strategic direction on UK regulatory requirements. You will hold responsibility for compliance oversight across two key entities: the newly authorised Everest Managing Agency Ltd (Lloyd’s platform) and the Everest Insurance (Ireland) DAC UK Third Country Branch (Company platform). You will lead and manage a team of two Compliance Specialists. You will own and manage critical components of the UK compliance framework, leverage in-depth knowledge of the UK regulatory regime and London Market environment (including FCA, PRA and Lloyd’s), provide authoritative advice and guidance to the business, and drive a strong culture of compliance through effective challenge and partnership. This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Regulatory Reporting: Assist in the regulatory reporting function, including the strategic management of the Company and Lloyd’s reporting timetable, and coordinate inputs for key regulatory engagements such as the PRA Periodic Summary Meeting (PSM). Ensure the timely and accurate submission of all PRA and FCA returns via platforms such as BEEDS, FCA RegData and Connect, including the Eligible Complainant Return, RMAR, and Conduct Rules Breach Return. Review all submissions prepared by the team.
  • Provide Strategic Advice & Challenge: Act as a senior compliance advisor to the business, leading second-line challenge and providing expert guidance on key topics such as Lloyd’s Oversight Principles, Outsourcing (including Delegated Authority arrangements), Operational Resilience, Consumer Duty & Product Governance, the Senior Managers & Certification Regime, and Conduct & Culture.
  • Drive Regulatory Change Management: Collaborate with the wider team on regulatory horizon scanning and provide strategic advice to senior leadership on the impact of upcoming changes. Interpret new regulations and direct the implementation of any required updates to policies and procedures across impacted business areas.
  • Manage the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan: Develop and manage the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan for both the Lloyd’s and Company platforms. Ensure all monitoring activities are completed and highlight any findings, along with recommended remedial actions.
  • Foster a Compliance Culture: Act as a key strategic partner to business areas and senior stakeholders to embed and promote a strong risk and compliance culture across the organisation.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Compliance Specialists, supporting their professional development and ensuring the effective delivery of the compliance plan.

Qualifications

  • Expert-level knowledge of the regulatory framework for UK insurance business, including the FCA, PRA and Lloyd’s requirements.
  • Proven experience operating in a senior second-line function within a Company Market insurer and/or a Lloyd’s Managing Agent.
  • Substantial experience in compliance, including time spent in senior or leadership roles.

  • Highly collaborative, with a proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to organise, delegate, and prioritise workloads for your team to meet challenging deadlines.
