As a Casualty Underwriter, you will support the Head of Casualty – International in producing, underwriting, and servicing International Casualty accounts, contributing to the growth of the portfolio in line with Everest’s appetite, controls, and underwriting strategy. Core Responsibilities

  • Support the underwriting and servicing of International Casualty accounts, across new business and renewals
  • Develop a strong understanding of Everest’s underwriting strategy and appetite, applying this to all underwriting decisions
  • Manage a portfolio of renewal business, including pricing, referrals, and client/broker engagement
  • Assist in delivering the team’s marketing strategy, maintaining and developing broker relationships
  • Work closely with senior underwriters to enhance technical capability and product knowledge
  • Support data entry, reporting, and maintenance of portfolio MI
  • Monitor portfolio KPIs for owned accounts and support wider team performance analysis
  • Liaise with claims, actuarial, and underwriting colleagues to support effective decision‑making
  • Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s and Everest underwriting standards and controls
  • Continuously build underwriting expertise through training and development opportunities

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in an underwriting role with exposure to International Casualty business
  • Strong technical foundation and willingness to develop underwriting expertise
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively
  • Developing broker and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to underwriting discipline
