We are looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to provide expert diagnostic assessments and treatment planning for ADHD and Autism as part of a multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental service. This role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high‑quality patient care.
Location: Preston, Lancashire
Working Model: Hybrid (Remote & On‑site) / On‑site
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments for ADHD and Autism across age groups
- Provide accurate diagnosis in line with DSM‑5 / ICD‑11 and NICE guidelines
- Develop and document individualized treatment and management plans
- Prescribe, monitor, and review medications where clinically appropriate
- Produce clear and timely clinical reports for patients and referring professionals
- Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, therapists, and other allied health professionals
- Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and patient safety at all times
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ADHD and Autism assessment and management
- GMC registration (Specialist Register – Psychiatry)
- CCT or equivalent qualification in Psychiatry
- Strong knowledge of neurodevelopmental clinical pathways and NICE guidance
- Excellent communication and report‑writing skills
- Right to Work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check (Adults & Children)
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Fit to Work / Occupational Health clearance
