This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week.

Team Overview:

Working closely with the Head of People for Europe and International Business lines, you will facilitate the delivery of our strategic objectives, partnering with our international colleagues and leaders based in the UK, providing comprehensive people support. You will lead projects and strategic initiatives focused on culture, change management, performance, talent management, and organizational design and development.

Through effective stakeholder management, you will be able to align team objectives with our people practices, influence organizational design and development, support and manage change while ensuring managers and colleagues are equipped to foster a high-performance culture.

As part of the international and global People and Talent team, you will collaborate to ensure our offerings are consistent. You will work closely with Talent Acquisition (TA), Talent Development (TD), other Centres of Excellence (COEs), and our People Services Team in Madrid to support international growth.

Key Accountabilities:

People & Talent practices

  1. Partner and consult with the business to align people and talent initiatives with business objectives and goals, embedding our values into everything we do.
  2. Collaborate with international colleagues and UK based leaders to offer comprehensive people support. Understand business objectives and align team goals with people practices.
  3. Influence organizational design and development, support change management, and foster a high-performance culture.
  4. Lead projects and initiatives focused on culture, change management, performance, talent management, and organizational design.
  5. Partner with Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, COEs and People Services in Madrid to support international growth and ensure consistency in how we support the business.
  6. Lead on managing performance issues, collaborating with managers to ensure we adhere to best practices, coaching them to manage performance consistently, supporting employees throughout the process.
  7. Support managers to prepare for and administrate annual processes, such as compensation planning, ensuring alignment between performance and compensation awards.
  8. Keep abreast of best practice, employment legislation, considering its impact on Everest and suggest appropriate action.

Workforce planning

  1. Ensure our organizational design meets the needs of our business objectives and supports a growing and ever-changing business.
  2. Work with the Head of People and your client group to determine staffing needs and define role and resourcing requirements.
  3. Support the TA team in agreeing job descriptions and role profiles, interviewing candidates where necessary.
  4. Assist the HR Officer with the coordination and planning of international transfers and secondments.

People & Talent champion

  1. Provide coaching and training where appropriate, including training for managers to ensure they have skills and knowledge to support and lead their teams.
  2. Provide advice and coaching to employees and managers on policies and processes, contract terms, and our employee handbook.
  3. Support initiatives, people processes, and policies that help us create an inclusive environment.
  4. Work with the TD team to consistently meet learning & development needs.
  5. Ensure the new joiner and onboarding process for your teams is consistent and introduces people to our culture.
  6. Design and drive engagement initiatives.

Talent Development

  1. Plan talent needs strategy, determining staffing needs and defining role and resourcing requirements.
  2. Lead on employee onboarding within your client groups and collaborate with Managers to ensure thorough and appropriate team and department inductions.

Professional Experience:

  1. Proven experience in partnering with the business and translating business priorities into tangible people practices.
  2. Experience in managing employee relations issues and supporting managers to achieve high performance.
  3. Experience of workforce planning and end-to-end recruitment process.
  4. Extensive knowledge of employment and engagement best practices.
  5. Experience in talent management, succession planning, and talent development.
  6. A background in the financial services sector.

Desirable Experience

  1. A background in the Insurance sector.
  2. Knowledge of the CBI regulatory regime.

Skills, Abilities & Attributes

  1. Fantastic people skills and a confident communicator.
  2. An ability to manage stakeholders with competing demands.
  3. A willingness to learn and solve problems proactively.

Qualifications

  1. CIPD qualified to level 5 would be an advantage but is not essential.
