Role Purpose: Everest Insurance seeks a Claims Adjuster to join our Financial Lines Claims team in London. The role involves handling Financial Institutions, Management Liability (including Directors & Officers), Professional Indemnity, Warranty & Indemnity, and Cyber claims. Reporting to the Head of Financial Lines Claims, the candidate will investigate, evaluate, and resolve these claims, contributing advice and review to underwriters and actuaries, and participating in onboarding and stewardship meetings with clients and brokers. Key Accountabilities: Reviewing and analyzing coverage issues and preparing coverage letters. Investigating liability, damages, and cost exposures. Managing outside experts, including adjusters and lawyers. Preparing case summaries for significant reserve and litigation matters. Setting appropriate case reserves in a timely manner. Preparing reports on large claims involving significant reserves and litigation. Developing claim and resolution strategies. Negotiating and resolving claims. Overseeing Third Party Administrators (TPAs). Supporting policy construction, claim trend reporting, data analysis, and risk assessments with underwriters. Participating in claim reviews, stewardship meetings, and audits. Collaborating with insureds, brokers, reinsurers, actuaries, and underwriters. Attending client meetings and industry events to maintain and develop client relationships. Qualifications, Education & Experience: Understanding of Financial Lines and Cyber coverage. Experience with a global insurance company across multiple platforms and jurisdictions. Claims handling or legal experience. Familiarity with London Market claims systems (ECF, IMR, Guidewire, etc.). Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims process, and legal/regulatory environment. Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and investigation skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strategic thinking and self-organization. Ability to influence and resolve complex claims. Knowledge of litigation, arbitration, and trial processes. Data and metrics-driven claims management. Collaborative mindset and willingness to improve processes.
