b Overview /b p As Data Protection Officer, you will lead Everests data privacy program across international operations, ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA and other applicable laws. You will partner with legal, IT and business teams to embed privacy by design in processes, systems, and AI initiatives. You will oversee policy development, risk assessments, and incident response to protect data subjects’ rights. This role offers meaningful impact by shaping a global privacy program and safeguarding stakeholder trust. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Fulfill the DPO role for international entities /li li Point of contact for data protection authorities /li li Oversee global privacy policies, procedures and guidelines /li li Monitor processing activities for regulatory and contractual compliance /li li Conduct PIAs/DPIAs to identify privacy risks /li li Manage data subject access requests within required timelines /li li Advise on data classification, mapping, retention, and protection controls /li li Oversee incident response for data breaches and remediation /li li Monitor records management and retention /li li Report quarterly to international boards on privacy health and risk /li li Collaborate with legal, IT and other departments to embed privacy in processes and systems /li li Provide privacy training to employees /li li Maintain records of processing activities and data inventories /li li Monitor regulatory trends to keep policies up to date /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li 5+ years in data privacy and protection /li li Experience acting as the DPO and interfacing with authorities /li li Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA and other data protection laws /li li Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts /li li Analytical and detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities /li li Experience conducting PIAs/DPIAs and managing DSARs /li li Ability to manage multiple projects independently and across teams /li li Commitment to ongoing learning in data privacy /li /ul ul li Excellent communication /li li Strong analytical thinking /li li Cross-functional collaboration /li li PIA/DPIA execution /li li Data classification, mapping and retention controls /li li Data transfer mechanisms and third-party data sharing /li /ul
