We are looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to provide expert diagnostic assessments and treatment planning for ADHD and Autism as part of a multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental service. This role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments for ADHD and Autism across age groups
  • Provide accurate diagnosis in line with DSM-5 / ICD-11 and NICE guidelines
  • Develop and document individualized treatment and management plans
  • Prescribe, monitor, and review medications where clinically appropriate
  • Produce clear and timely clinical reports for patients and referring professionals
  • Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, therapists, and other allied health professionals
  • Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and patient safety at all times

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in ADHD and Autism assessment and management
  • GMC registration (Specialist Register - Psychiatry)
  • CCT or equivalent qualification in Psychiatry
  • Strong knowledge of neurodevelopmental clinical pathways and NICE guidance
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS check (Adults & Children)
  • Disability Confident
