This role would suit either a newly qualified GP looking to develop their skills within a forward-thinking and supportive practice or an experienced GP seeking to join a friendly multidisciplinary team. The position is offered on a fixed-term salaried contract with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Managing routine and urgent appointments through face‑to‑face and telephone consultations.
- Working within the hub alongside another GP to triage patients requesting consultations via eConsult.
- Occasionally undertaking routine or urgent home visits, as covered primarily by our paramedic and nurse practitioner.
- Responding to clinical queries, managing repeat prescriptions, reviewing test results, and preparing referral letters and other correspondence promptly and accurately.
- Initiating investigations, reviewing outcomes, and referring patients to secondary care or other services where appropriate, ensuring treatment plans align with NICE guidance and chronic disease management protocols.
