Vehicle Technician – Automotive OEM – Glasgow – £50k+ OTE
Role – Vehicle Technician
Salary – £43k + (Competitive based on experience)
Location – Glasgow
Bonus (Time Saved) – Up to £10k
Company Performance Bonus – Typically Around £1,500
Working Hours – Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm

One of our key clients, is a leading UK-based manufacturer specialising in vehicle conversions. Known for their expertise in adapting cars, vans, and taxis, our client is at the forefront of the industry, providing top-tier services such as electric vehicle conversions, and accident repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electric vehicles (EVs)
- Attend to vehicle breakdowns or customer sites for urgent repairs
- Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on EVs
- Assemble and disassemble EV components including motors, gearboxes, and power electronics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications
- Travel offsite to clients and suppliers across the UK, with occasional international travel
- Communicate effectively with customers on-site regarding issues and repairs
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or HNC/BTEC in Engineering
- Valid UK driver’s license
Key Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in breakdown/roadside repairs
- Strong diagnostic abilities in both electrical and mechanical systems
- 4+ years of experience in vehicle maintenance, with electrical bias as an advantage
- Proficient use of diagnostic software
- Ability to operate machinery, tooling, and equipment related to EV repairs and modifications
- Highly organised and motivated with excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
- Understanding of Health & Safety protocols and PPE requirements
- Physical fitness for manual handling and operating power tools
